Chris Larson
Mr. Larson has been working in the insurance industry since 1981 when he graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree. His focus over the past 30 years has been the surplus and specialty lines segment, specifically underwriting and wholesale brokerage activities.
In October of 2013, Mr. Larson formed Greenwich Environmental Underwriting Management LLC in an effort to exploit the burgeoning environmental and alternative energy opportunities prevailing in those industries and to expand the Gremesco underwrite a host of products geared to environmental and alternative energy, including General Liability, Errors and omissions, CPL, Site and Brownfield coverage.
Mr. Larson is also President and the principal of Gremesco Corporation and a partner in several other Gremesco Affiliated offices. These would include Gremesco of Hudson Valley (Formed 2008) Gremesco of Manhattan formed 2004, Gremesco of Putnam (2000) and Gremesco of New Jersey (1998). Mr. Larson sold his interest in Gremesco of Florida in 2010. Corp. was established in 1993 when Mr. Larson purchased the assets of Gremesco Inc. and formed the new entity. The firm is a wholesale brokerage and managing general agent serving retail brokers from Maine to Florida, but concentrating on the Northeast.
Prior to 1993, Mr. Larson served as Vice President and Director of excess & surplus lines operations for Gremesco Inc. a wholesale broker, reinsurance intermediary and program administrator based in Stamford, Ct. From 1983-85 Mr. Larson was employed by Frank B Hall & Company as a senior underwriter and Casualty Manager responsible for the nationwide binding authority facility and brokerage casualty operation in New York City. From 1981-83 he was employed by Kemper Group as a Commercial casualty underwriter serving retail brokers throughout the metropolitan area.
Lynda Kardos
Lynda has been in the insurance business for over 25 years. She joined Gremesco in 2003 and currently holds the position of Vice President of Brokerage Operations. Lynda is responsible for the marketing and negotiation process with our key carrier contacts. She began her career with Hub International where she worked on large commercial accounts. Lynda has extensive experience in the construction, large real estate, habitational, retail and manufacturing industries. Her prior experience as a retail broker allows her to effectively negotiate with underwriters on behalf of her retail agency clients.
Lisa Spezzano
Lisa has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. During her time at Gremesco, she has held the position of Binding Authority Administrator where she managed all aspects of the binding authority. This included managing workflow with the staff and was in charge of quality control for compliance with the London guidelines. In 2003, she changed direction and became a broker. She is experienced in all lines of coverage which include Property, Liability, Environmental and Professional. Currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President.
Milton Kalomenidis
Milton began his insurance career as a retail broker and understands the needs of his current clients. He is currently an Account Executive at Gremesco who uses his expertise and knowledge within binding authority contracts or the open market to accommodate those customers that have special requirements or those with short time frames. He has experience in numerous fields including habitational, construction, environmental, professional and excess liability. No one rates quotes faster.
Debbie Sorrenti
Debbie has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and brings a deep working knowledge of all facets of the industry including operations, underwriting and claims. Debbie underwrites and brokers all lines of business including property and casualty, professional and inland and ocean marine coverage. Our agents rely on her to deliver quality insurance products from front line A rated carriers.
Gerard Reczek
Gerard opened the Andover, MA office for Gremesco in 2006. With 35 years’ experience as a surplus lines broker/underwriter and long standing E&S underwriting market relationships, the ability to provide quick solutions to complex underwriting challenges has been forged. Areas of specialty include large, complex GL, product liability, excess liability, property, environmental and professional liability risks. Brokerage markets are complimented with multiple in house binding contracts. The combination of a very strong stable of E&S market, strong market relationships and unique underwriting binding contracts, allow Gerard to provide very quick quotes and solutions to a variety of E&S underwriting challenges.
Tony Marchese
Tony has been in the insurance industry for 40 years and has spent the past 20 years as a wholesaler. Prior to joining Gremesco he worked for 2 large regional wholesalers. His initial career was spent in various underwriting, marketing, and management positions with 2 national carriers. Tony handles small to medium size accounts in a variety of classes including real estate, habitational, hospitality, and construction for property, liability, WC and excess. He holds an Accredited Advisor in Insurance designation.
